Answers to common questions about elian.

How does independent BPM and pitch control work?+

elian uses studio-grade time-stretching to change a track's tempo without affecting its pitch, and a separate pitch shifter to change key without affecting tempo. You can adjust either one, or both at once, in real time.

What is the Camelot wheel?+

The Camelot wheel is a visual system for harmonic mixing. elian detects the musical key of each track and maps it onto the wheel, making it easy to find tracks that mix well together.

How does audio quality detection work?+

elian analyzes the spectral content of each file to flag low-bitrate MP3s, transcodes, and other quality issues that aren't always obvious from the file format or metadata alone.

Can I rename tracks in bulk?+

Yes. You can rename individual tracks or apply renaming patterns across your selection directly from your library, without leaving elian.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?+

Free gives you a preview of BPM, pitch, and key detection on a limited library. Pro unlocks unlimited tracks, audio quality analysis, track rename, and full BPM/pitch control.

How do I cancel my subscription?+

Pro subscriptions are managed through the Mac App Store. You can cancel anytime from your Apple ID subscription settings, and you'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.
